Camilla Fellowes is joining Unity Real Estate today as property manager for its real estate assets under management including Byron House in St James’ Street, 78 Cowcross Street in Farringdon, Hampstead High Street and its buildings in Harley Street and Devonshire Place.
She spoke to our website team about her experience and why she’s excited to get started.
Q: Camilla, welcome to Unity. Tell us a bit about yourself?
A: I graduated from Edinburgh University with a languages degree in French and Spanish. I always knew I wanted to get into property and I was lucky enough to start my career with Candy and Candy managing their central London residential turn-key properties, to include the prestigious One Hyde Park.
I then worked for Caudwell, as a project manager overseeing their affordable housing development Farm Street in Mayfair.
Most recently, I was working with Caroline Baker managing the property assets of high-net-worth clients including international royalty.
Q: What a career! So what brings you to Unity now?
A: Most of all I really look forward to managing such a prime portfolio of London buildings. I hope to be able to enhance these buildings further though good management, applying my experience in residential property, whilst extending my knowledge on the commercial side – it will be a fantastic opportunity. I know that there is a brilliant team at Unity, who I very much look forward to working alongside.
Q: So which of Unity Real Estate’s properties will you be managing ?
A: Everything from Hampstead High Street to Farringdon! Initially I will have five buildings to manage however Unity’s property business is growing so I expect that my portfolio will quickly grow.
Q: What are you particularly looking forward to?
I am looking forward to returning to work after my maternity leave and getting to know the properties and the tenants. In property management there is never a quiet moment so I’m expecting to be busy and challenged but I know I’ll have the support of the Unity team so I am really excited to get started.
Q: What interests you outside of work?
I adore spending time with family, particularly in North Norfolk, one of my very favourite places. We love sailing and being on the sea.
And I love travelling – anywhere in Europe but Italy would have to be the best – for the food and it’s beauty.
