Flagship Bethnal Green project is named GALVANISE, Unity Real Estate reveals

Unity Real Estate today announced its flagship project to deliver Grade A office and retail space in a former east London warehouse will be called Galvanise.

Galvanise, at 469 Bethnal Green Road, is a highly sustainable and innovative project. The design will preserve the majority of the existing structure, saving thousands of tonnes of embodied carbon, before adding three new storeys. Passive heating and cooling systems will be used, alongside other low energy technologies to reduce the energy in use of the resulting office and retail space.

The new floors will be clad in galvanized steel, bringing an iconic piece of new architecture to one of London’s most creative boroughs. Design work for the project has been carried out by architects Carmody Groarke.

Unity Real Estate can also confirm it has appointed Colliers as letting agent for the project and James & James Design to undertake marketing. More details about the project can be found on a new website at www.galvanise.london

Unity Real Estate CEO Danny Ungar said: “The name Galvanise directly refers to the galvanised steel façade however the word resonated with me in terms of what we are doing- galvanising the team into action- to transform this old, unloved warehouse space into modern offices and retail space.

We are bringing together the award winning architecture of Carmody Groarke and a trusted agency and marketing team to bring these new offices and retail space to market.”

Galvanise is scheduled to complete in Spring 2024. Once finished, it will offer up to 20,000sqft of Grade A office and retail space in Bethnal Green, a thriving part of East London

The building is located just over the road from Bethnal Green Underground station, served by Central Line services through the city and out into East London.

Unity Real Estate is part of Unity Group, a London-based global investment business which specialises in property and shipping, through Unity Real Estate and Maritime respectively.

Co-Founder & Managing Director at James & James, Jim Demeza said “We are delighted to have been appointed by Unity Group to market the fantastic new space in Galvanise. The building offers the opportunity to be part of a project that will leave its own unique mark on the landscape of Bethnal Green.

We are excited to be part of this journey and look forward to working with Unity Group to make it a success.”
